Can uterine rupture in patients attempting vaginal birth after cesarean delivery be predicted?
Article Abstract:
An analysis of data from a case-control study of uterine rupture among women attempting vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) delivery was undertaken in order to use multivariable methods to develop clinical predictive models for the occurrence of uterine rupture by using both antepartum and early intrapartum factors. Findings indicate that uterine rupture cannot be predicted with reasonable sensitivity and specificity with either individual or combination of clinical factors.

Active management of risk in pregnancy at term in an urban population: An association between a higher induction of labor rate and a lower cesarean delivery rate
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to determine whether exposure to an alternative method of care, called the active management of risk in pregnancy at term (AMOR-IPAT), was associated with a lower group cesarean delivery rate. Results demonstrated a significant association between exposure to a high group labor induction rate and a low group cesarean delivery rate.

What antepartum fetal test should guide the timing of delivery of the preterm growth-restricted fetus? A decision-analysis
Article Abstract:
A decision-analytic approach to explore the best strategy for timing of delivery of preterm intrauterine growth-restricted fetuses was studied. Biophysical profile was found to be the best guide to physicians on the timing of the delivery of the preterm growth-restricted fetus, compared with other options.
