Charter for care
Article Abstract:
The Labour party does not believe that individuals should be forced to pay for more of their long-term care requirements, according to Labour MP Alan Milburn. The party believes that is necessary to undertake a wide-ranging reform of the present system of long-term care, thus abolishing the anomalies and contradictions which currently exist. Specifically, it is time to establish a national framework which states the eligibility criteria for long-term care.

Famous five go to Devon
Article Abstract:
A group of distinguished, unmarried retired nurses, aware of the need to be supported by family and friends in their old age, have all chosen to live close to each other in Devon. The five, among them a former professor of nursing education and a former director of education at the Royal College of Nursing, have been close friends for many years and by retiring to the same area have been able to provide each other with care and social support.
