Children at work: cheap labor comes at a high price

Around 200 million children under the age of 15 are currently working, according to the International Labor Organization. Child labor is defined as employment that conflicts with children's growth and education, and that which is dangerous and exploitative. Financial aid, research, legislation, consumer activism and intervention are seen as solutions to the problem.

Many street children in developing countries become victims of drug abuse. Those between six to eight years of age can be seen sniffing glue which later lead to the abuse of other substances such as marijuana, alcohol and stimulants.
