Article Abstract:
The life-threatening kidney failure is often preceded by chronic kidney disease, which means the kidneys ability to filter waste products, and excess fluid from the blood is progressively destroyed over years. However, this deterioration can be significantly slowed or stopped with treatment provided it is detected early enough.

Kidney stones: how to avoid them
Article Abstract:
Kidney stones are hardened mineral deposits that develop in the one in 10 people that are at risk for them. Noninvasive lithotripsy is the most common treatments for stones that are not passed. Recurrence can be avoided by increasing fluids, adjusting the diet or through medication.
