Article Abstract:
A study examining the opinions of volunteers and ministers of faith based organizations (FBO) and on their expertise in the areas of delivering initiatives in tobacco prevention, youth's reaction to the initiative, their intentions in continuing with the initiative as well as on other health initiatives is presented.

The increase in usage of tobacco and substance abuse among high school students is a cause for concern. The effectiveness of a tobacco prevention elementary school project implemented in 2000 in Mississippi is analyzed.
