Dangerous bodywork
Article Abstract:
Steroids should be taken only under strict medical supervision because of the risk of serious side effects and possible early death. The premature death of Olympic athlete Florence Griffith-Joyner in September 1998 has been blamed on steroid abuse, re-opening the issues surrounding the risks involved in taking steroids. Major side-effects produce breasts on men, while women become more masculine and develop extra body hair. Athletes should take steroids only under medical supervision and for short periods at a time.
