Discrimination in the NHS is rooted in exclusion going back hundreds of years'
Article Abstract:
Racism and discrimination are major problems facing the African-American and minority ethnic young nurses in the NHS, with BME and internationally recruited nurses less likely to secure promotions and having poorer experiences of working in the NHS. The value system of nursing should mean valuing people equally by learning from the history of the abolition of exclusion and slave trade.
