Prospective analysis of a fever evaluation algorithm after major gynecologic surgery
Article Abstract:
Examining feverish women postoperatively for signs and symptoms of infection after reproductive surgery will allow surgeons to reduce the number of unnecessary tests. Signs and symptoms of infection include a cough that produces sputum, pain when urinating, abdominal pain, and pain and redness around the incision.

Survival after multimodality treatment for stage IIIC endometrial cancer
Article Abstract:
Surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation treatment appear to be effective when used to treat endometrial cancer that has spread to the lymph nodes. In a study of 21 women, the average survival was four years, 22% experienced side effects from the chemotherapy, and 14% experienced side effects from the radiation.

Early postoperative feeding after major gynecologic surgery: evidence-based scientific medicine
Article Abstract:
The traditional postoperative feeding schedule given to women who have had gynecologic surgery is probably unnecessary. The traditional schedule includes a nasogastric tube to decompress the intestines, followed by a clear liquid diet, and the gradual introduction of solid food.
