Place effects for areas defined by administrative boundaries
Article Abstract:
The effect of geographical place on individual health status within administrative boundaries may be negligible. Canadian researchers found minimal health variations in 42 public health units surveyed in Ontario. This lack of evidence of place effects questions the area organization and use of large-scale data in health administration and delivery.

Components of variance and intraclass correlations for the design of commuity-based surveys adn intervention studies
Article Abstract:
Components of cariance and intraclass correlations are examined for their relevancy in design of community-based studies. Research results in data collection can be applied to units that range in size from households to large administrative areas and can help in the design of complex surveys and community intervention studies.
