Insect repellents
Article Abstract:
Clinical testing reveals that insect repellents containing N,N-diethylmetatoluamide (DEET), particularly the extended duration types, are safe and prevent mosquito and tick bites. Research further indicates that picaridin of foreign origin is as effective as DEET and does not damage clothing and skin. Permethrin for lice is also evaluated.
