Epilepsy and pregnancy: an obstetric perspective
Article Abstract:
A comparative study is conducted between 414 pregnant women with epilepsy and 81,759 normal pregnant women to determine the obstetric and neonatal outcomes of women with prepregnancy diagnosis of epilepsy. With appropriate care during preconception, pregnancy, labor, and delivery and after delivery, women with epilepsy are not proned to increased risk for obstetric complications.

Methods of assessment of the arterial pulse wave in normal human pregnancy
Article Abstract:
A study conducted on 60 pregnant women to obtain normal values for the peripheral arterial pulse wave in human pregnancy confirms the known cardiovascular changes of pregnancy associated with vasodilatation of peripheral vessels and expansion of blood volume. The fall in augmentation pressure and index are consistent with the changes.

Cohort study of forceps delivery and risk of epilepsy in adulthood
Article Abstract:
The relationship between forceps delivery and epilepsy in adulthood is investigated. It is concluded that there is no relationship between forceps delivery and epilepsy in adulthood, however, preterm birth may be an important risk factor.
