A survey conducted by the Employment Policy Foundation on the intermittent leave under the Family Medical Leave Act has indicated that 30% of all leave in 2004 was less than five days in length and 20% was one day or less costing employers $21 billion in that year .

Older workers less likely to return to work after injury: study

A study dome on older workers aged, 55 years and above, indicates that till about 35% of them are less likely to return to their job after an injury, as compared to those aged between 29 and 39 years.
