Fertility clinic: baby in three tries or your money back
Article Abstract:
The Reproductive Health Associates fertility clinic in St. Paul, MN, offers couples three attempts at in vitro fertilization within 18 months or their money back. The program is available to women under the age of 35 with normal gynecological health and husbands whose semen contains some sperm. The package costs $16,000, including $2,000 in nonrefundable administrative fees. Critics contend that the plan selects only the most fertile applicants for the guarantee. Additional analysis of this plan, and the role of physicians in fertility clinics, is presented.
