Functional alpha(sub)4-integrin: a newly identified pathway of neutrophil recruitment in critically ill septic patients
Article Abstract:
Research presented concerns the pathophysiology of sepsis, focusing on leukocyte adhesion in septic individuals. The alpha(sub)4-integrin/ vascular cell adhesion molecule 1 pathway of neutrophil recruitment is studied, as well as inflammation caused by inappropriate neutrophil adhesion.
