Give future doctors what they need most: hope
Article Abstract:
It is important for practicing physicians to give medical students hope about their profession. Many practicing physicians bemoan the economic climate and the difficulties of practicing in the 1990s. These pessimistic observations can stop a physician from focusing on his patients' needs and cause alarm in physicians-in-training.

State budget cuts threaten to disconnect poison hotlines
Article Abstract:
California federal budgets threaten the existence of poison centers in order to save funds. Many physicians feel that closing such centers would be short sighted as they help doctors, patients and parents, and are resources for biological, chemical and hazardous spills for incidences.
