Patients often transfer physicians due to displeasure with a given practitioners' front office staff, so medical staff should provide prompt and courteous customer service, and staffs should keep up to date with the latest customer service training techniques. Many hospitals and professional physician associations offer customer service training for office staffs.

Team leadership approach best for health care
Article Abstract:
Physicians and health plan administrators should team together to solve the various health care problems. The complex nature of health care delivery neccesstiate such a collegial approach, in which both physicians and administrators can focus on creating and implementing solutions. The MGMA has invited physicians to participate in governance issues.
