Having the time of their lives
Article Abstract:
Mid Essex Hospital Services National Health Service Trust in Chelmsford, England, has introduced a flexipool scheme for nurses who wish to return to work but have family commitments. This scheme allows nurses to choose the hours and days they wish to work a month in advance. They work on an annualized hours basis, allowing them to make up later any hours they have been unable to work. The scheme has received financial support from the local Education Consortium and from the National Health Service Executive Eastern regional office.
