Hearing loss: devices help when a hearing aid isn't enough
Article Abstract:
Hearing-impaired people can avail of a wide range of assistive devices. These can be used with a hearing aid or in place of one in cases of mild hearing loss and if one prefers them over a hearing aid. They fall under three main types, namely, amplifying, alerting and decoding devices.

Vascular Dementia: More than memory loss
Article Abstract:
A progressive loss of memory and other mental skills is known as Dementia. Studies have found that the cholinesterase inhibitors galantamine (Reminyl) and donepezil (Aricept) used to treat Alzheimer's disease may be effective in treating vascular dementia.
