Hello to fresh ideas about PREP
Article Abstract:
A nurse at the UKCC stand at the RCN Congress discusses the most common worries she encountered from nurses. Nurses are worried about complying with PREP requirements to produce a profile of five days training they have undergone and an evaluative commentary about the training because there is no set format. Nurses in the private sector have to pay for this training themselves. However, the training can be a visit or seminar rather than formal training. The PREP leaflet is very easy to understand so nurses must read it. Many nurses at the Congress had not read it.

A sense of control
Article Abstract:
Independent bladder control maximization is the aim of continence nurses when dealing with patients who present with both physical and neurogenic continence problems. A thorough assessment of lifestyle and mobility must be made to ensure patients are offered the most appropriate continence treatment. Nurses must also ensure patients receive all relevant information regarding their treatment as this will help the sufferer feel more in control of the dysfunction.
