Herbal medicine in Europe-relaxing regulatory standards
Article Abstract:
European countries spent almost $5 billion on over-the-counter herbal medicines in the year 2003, indicating that herbal medicine is a relatively mainstream business in Europe. Though companies that make herbal preparations usually found it difficult to meet the conventional requirements for proof of medical efficacy in European countries, Germany and France created simplified registration procedures for herbal products, whereby conclusive evidence of efficacy was no longer required.

Where have all the obstetricians gone?
Article Abstract:
Twenty one states are on American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) 'red alert' list that indicates the obstetricians are dropping obstetrics or moving out of state due to 'acute' problems with finding or affording insurance. As a result pregnant women, who cannot find an obstetrician until second trimester, miss out on crucial care.

Health care for all?
Article Abstract:
The German and French citizens became more aware and acquainted with the benefits of the system of social coverage and medical insurance for all the citizens. The government of all the countries is developing plans to encourage more people to take these insurance coverages.
