Hip pain
Article Abstract:
A man with HIV infection developed extreme hip pain following hospitalization for pneumocystis pneumonia. Radiographic and ultrasonographic images revealed no joint disease or fluid collection. A CT image of the pelvis and empirical treatment with antiinflammatories confirmed a diagnosis of focal myositis and bursitis. Diagnostic tests should evaluate possible infectious causes, particularly in immunocompromised patients. Antiinflammatories and local injections of anesthetics and corticosteroids are frequently effective.

An unusual case of atlanto-axial subluxation
Article Abstract:
The authors report a case of a woman suddenly developing a weakness of the fingers which progressed to weakness in both arms and legs, leaving her unable to walk or stand. Given her shortness (4'3") the physicians preceded assuming some connection to her impeded growth, comparing her case to others of people of similar height.
