Improving services for gay and transgender patients
Article Abstract:
Effective April 30, 2007 it is unlawful for health and social care organisations and staff to discriminate against lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) people as per the Equality Act (Sexual Orientation) Regulations 2007. A package of resources is published by the Department of Health to help healthcare organisations improve the quality and uptake of health services for these patients.
