In vitro lesion repair by human aknion epithelial and mesenchymal cells
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to compare wound healing by human amnion epithelial and mesenchymal cells from preterm and term placenta with the use of an in vitro lesion repair assay. The conclusion drawn was that an in vitro lesion repair assay revealed the differences in lesion repair capacity between amnion epithelial and mesenchymal cells and between mesenchymal cells from preterm and term placenta.

Immunologic properties of human fetal mesenchymal stem cells
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to determine whether mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) could be isolated from adult bone marrow and fetal liver. It was found that undifferentiated and differentiated fetal MSCs did not elicit alloreactive lymphocyte proliferation and that fetal MSCs have potentials for allogenic transplantation.

Human preterm amnion cells cultured in 3-dimensional collagen I and fibrin matrices for tissue engineering purposes
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted in an attempt to design therapeutic strategies for preterm premature rupture of the membranes by investigating human preterm amnion cells in 3-dimensional cell-matrix culture systems. The study concludes that three-dimensional fiber matrices might be useful in amnion cell tissue engineering.
