Incidence and trends in Kaposi's sarcoma in the era of effective antiretroviral therapy
Article Abstract:
The number of cases of Kaposi's sarcoma in HIV patients is decreasing, according to a study of 37,303 HIV patients. Those who took triple combination therapy were 50% less likely to develop Kaposi's sarcoma than those who did not.

Potential interventions for HIV/AIDS wasting: an overview
Article Abstract:
HIV wasting syndrome is less common now that combination AIDS drugs suppress viral activity. Treatments for HIV wasting syndrome include diet and multi-vitamin supplements, appetite stimulators, anabolic agents, and thalidomide.

Cognitive function in HIV-1-infected drug users
Article Abstract:
HIV-infected drug users can develop cognitive disorders just as HIV-infected non-users can. However, it may be more difficult to rule out drug use, or nutritional abnormalities as the true cause of the cognitive disorder.
