Article Abstract:
Influenza activity was relatively low in the US between October 1-November 25, 2000, especially compared to the same time period in 1999. However, that could change in the first few months of 2001. The viruses causing illness are covered by the 2000 influenza vaccine.

Article Abstract:
Influenza activity in the US in the winter of 2000-2001 was lower than in the previous three years. Activity reached a peak in late January-early February and influenza A (H1N1) was the predominant virus.
