ItEs official: Unless Congress acts, Medicare pay will be cut 4.4%

Physician groups are urging the lawmakers to fix the Medicare payment problems, as the Medicare payments will be sliced by 4.4 percent by 1st March 2003. The cut was made official with the release of the 2003 fee schedule rule, which quantified the update for the year.
