Article Abstract:
Surveys show that the death rates due to various healthcare-associated infections are rising alarmingly due to lack of proper hygiene and precautions in hospitals in England, Wales and Ireland. Various measures such as infection control training and implementation among staff, and screening of patients who might be carriers of infections should be adopted in order to control such infections.

The various recommendations and guidelines that need to be given to the patients, as well as the healthcare professionals that deal with the chronic kidney disease (CKD) are given. Primary education is very necessary to improve the understanding of the disease and the treatments required.
