A mother of a child who was born exhibiting symptoms of VACTERL, a constellation of birth defects with unknown origin shares her experience of running to hospital pediatric wards and scheduling surgeries. She realized the power of humor as seeing things in a humorous light is one of the most important coping mechanisms in a crisis.
