Ongoing stress, even at low levels, can have a negative effect on people's health and well-being and it is essential to practice stress management on a daily, ongoing basis. Some important steps include catching it early from symptoms, regular exercise, a healthy diet, getting adequate sleep, setting limits on the tasks one choose to take on, true relaxation through a hobby or exercise, positive thinking, and getting help if needed.

Diabetes can be prevented or delayed, in addition to medications by losing weight, getting more exercise and eating a healthier diet.
