Methadone dosing strategies in HIV-infected injection drug uses enrolled in a directly observed therapy program
Article Abstract:
Measured changes in methadone doses and treatment responses after nevirapine (NVP), efavirenz (EFV), ritonavir-boosted lopinavir (LPV/r) or atazanavir (ATV) within a directly observed therapy (DOT) program is evaluated. It is suggested that careful monitoring is needed to ensure methadone withdrawal does not adversely affect the goals of treatment.

A prognostic model for HIV seroconversion among injection drug users as a tool for stratification in clinical trials
Article Abstract:
A prognostic model for HIV seroconversion among injection drug users (IDUs) using easy-to measure risk indicators is constructed. Three risk indicators are included in the risk score to predict HIV seroconversion including unstable housing, average cocaine injections per day and having shared a syringe with a known HIV-positive partner.
