Nurses should embrace practice-based research
Article Abstract:
The term 'research' is a baffling one to many in the nursing profession as the nurses feel that they do not have the time, skill and will to gather proofs through research themselves, and that many of the research findings are irrelevant to their concerns and do not answer the questions they need answering to improve their practice. It is suggested that the nurses need to stop considering research and development as two different things and look at integrating them by applying some less linear and more fluid approaches.

Nursing research should be given greater investment
Article Abstract:
A variety of nursing jobs were misguidedly terminated as a cost-saving activity by the NHS, which could have serious implications for nursing research in future. Nurses are integral for improving patient experience through research and hence, such research should be undertaken by a range of nurses, in clinical and academic settings as leaders or partners in research with other disciplines.
