Older age -- not a barrier to cancer treatment
Article Abstract:
Doctors should offer chemotherapy to more aged cancer patients and should also enroll aged patients in studies of cancer treatments. A study published in 2001 showed that aged patients with colorectal cancer can benefit from surgery followed by chemotherapy, with no greater adverse effects than younger patients experience.
