Ovarian cancer: Addressing a continuing health care challenge
Article Abstract:
The early detection and successful treatment of ovarian cancer, which is very difficult to diagnose and manage, continues to challenge health care professionals. The signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer include distension, dysponea and abnormal vaginal bleeding and surgery and chemotherapy are the current standard treatment regimes used for treating ovarian cancer.

Hyperglycaemia results when diabetic patients become unwell with another illness where patients' usual self management techniques prove to be inadequate. The study presented provides theoretical background and practical application to preventing diabetic ketoacidois and hyperosmolar non-ketotic syndrome.

Ensuring patient involvement in the redesign of services

A team of chemotherapy nurses used a patient questionnaire to review the wig service, which was available to the patients with breast cancer. Problems were identified, the service was redesigned and a new supplier appointed.
