The current role and status of clinical supervision, which is one of the most misunderstood practices in modern nursing, in the NHS is examined. Overcoming the personal and organizational barriers are essential for effective clinical supervision, as it can allow nurses the freedom to develop their skills in response to patient need, which is considered beneficial to both nurses and patients.
