Short-term risk of death after treatment with nesiritide for decompensated heart failure
Article Abstract:
The safety of nesiritide relative to noninotrope-based control therapies, primarily consisting of diuretis or vasodilators is investigated. The results when compared with noninotrope-based control therapy suggested that nesiritide might be associated with an increased risk of death after treatment for acutely decompensated heart failure.

Mortality associated with aprotinin during 5 years following coronary artery bypass graft surgery
Article Abstract:
The association of mortality with using either serine protease inhibitors or lysine analogs in patients presenting for coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery is examined. The results have shown that the use of aprotinin is associated with an increased risk of long-term mortality following CABG surgery.
