The safe use of children's toys within the healthcare setting
Article Abstract:
The environmental audits have shown that the toys kept in the healthcare settings are often contaminated with microorganisms and not subject to the recommended cleaning protocols. Evidence has shown that contaminated toys can increase the risk of cross-infection between children, so good hand-washing practice is promoted by the infection control team alongside education for healthcare workers, patients and their families.

Article Abstract:
Health care associated infections are spread in a variety of ways with hand-mediated transmission accepted as the primary source of cross infection.
