Local anesthesia and regional anesthesia offer patients the freedom to remain awake during surgery. The former is similar to that administered by dentists during tooth extraction. The latter numbs body regions and are usually used during hernia repair, pelvic, leg and hip surgeries.

Being a cancer survivor
Article Abstract:
Cancer patients should refocus and clarify their priorities and impact their hopes and dreams, instead of being afraid and feeling guilty or depressed. Cancer patients can be cancer survivors by learning more about cancer and by actively participating in health care.
