Cerebral edema complicating eclampsia
Article Abstract:
The cases of 10 pregnant women who developed swelling in their brain as a complication of eclampsia are described. Eclampsia is a serious complication of pregnancy. One of the women died.

Cerebral infraction in eclampsia
Article Abstract:
The neuroimaging findings of cerebral edema associated with eclamptic seizures by use of diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are illustrated. This technique is used to characterize the relative frequency of vasogenic and cytotoxic edema and cerebral infraction in women with eclampsia.

Puerperal septic pelvic thrombophlebitis: incidence and response to heparin therapy
Article Abstract:
Heparin is apparently not necessary for women who develop an infected blood clot following childbirth. Of 15 women with an infected blood clot following childbirth, those who received antibiotics only did just as well as those who received antibiotics plus heparin. Eleven of the women had had a cesarean delivery.
