Risk of new-onset urinary incontinence after forceps and vacuum delivery in primiparous women
Article Abstract:
Forceps deliveries are more likely to cause chronic urinary incontinence than a spontaneous delivery or a vacuum delivery, according to a study of 315 pregnant women. Although the rate of urinary incontinence was similar in the women regardless of the type of delivery, forceps deliveries were more likely to cause chronic incontinence.

The estimation of patient satisfaction, and the percentage of prolapse and urinary symptoms that improve or worsen in women after two months of pessary use are discussed. In the duration of two months, 92 percent of women with a successful pessary fitting trial were satisfied, but occult stress incontinence was a common side effect.
