Selecting footwear for patients with diabetes
Article Abstract:
People with diabetes and associated neuropathy are susceptible to injury caused by their footwear, which may lead to foot ulceration. Different types of specialist footwear and casts used in the management of foot problems associated with diabetes are described.

National service framework delayed by at least a year
Article Abstract:
The Diabetes UK charity said that the United Kingdom government is neglecting diabetes victims by postponing the diabetes care national service framework. The government plans to release the framework one year later than planned, in April 2003.
