A healthy degree of success
Article Abstract:
The UK National Nurses' Nutrition Group conducted a survey amongst nutrition nurse specialists in 1995. This produced information about the specialists' scope of practice, and revealed an increasing interest in a team approach to nutrition support. Analysis of the results led to the formation of a committee to consider formalizing education in the speciality, and this led to a decision to pilot an undergraduate degree in nutrition support. This will be offered at two universities from 1998, and will be a two year modular course with a 50% practical content.

A sick joke
Article Abstract:
Sexual harassment exemplifies male attempts to assert control over women. Any unwanted sexual attention constitutes harassment. The problem is common in nursing although few nurses complain. However, it can cause guilt feelings, depression and other personal problems. The organisation may also be affected by lost working hours. The situation is unlikely to improve until harassment is taken seriously, women feel able to complain and sanctions are imposed on the perpetrators.
