State of the art and science of endodontics
Article Abstract:
The advances in endodontics during the past decade since January 2005 is reviewed while the basic and clinical research are focused. There are significant changes observed in the art and science of endodontics, and it is indicated that on the basis of the reviewed literature, pulp and periradicular diseases are primarily microbial.

Advances in endodontics will allow more people to keep their natural teeth well into old age. Topics discussed include the use of nickel titanium rotary instrumentation, obturation systems, microscopy and endoscopy, mineral trioxide aggregate, digital radiography, ultrasonics, and third-generation apex locators.

Where will the genome lead us? Dentistry in the 21st century
Article Abstract:
The analysis of the human genome will probably revolutionize dentistry and many dentists may need to be re-trained in molecular biology, analytical and physical chemistry, and computer science. Tissue engineering could lead to new dental materials and genetic engineering could be used to change dental tissues.
