Steroid injections: targeted pain relief
Article Abstract:
Glucocorticoids are the only type of steroids used to treat pain and other problems caused by inflammation. Injecting these steroids offers faster relief than taking them in pill form or applying them as a cream. There are a number of side effects that can result from using glucocorticoids.

Using over-the-counter pain relievers isn't risk-free
Article Abstract:
Over-the-counter pain relievers such as acetaminophen pills could predispose individuals to kidney diseases. This was the conclusion of a comparison between 700 kidney dialysis patients and 300 people without kidney diseases.
