The NPSA recommendations to promote correct-site surgery
Article Abstract:
The National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) has provided few guidelines and recommendations for correct-site surgery and also its implications for nurses. The guidance is an important tool that ensures patient safety and a team approach to accountability and these guidelines can also be adopted for other care settings, such as minor surgery in primary care.
