One of the advantages of a career in mental health nursing is the choice of working environments, which helps them choose an area to suit their lifestyle. Monica Mitchell qualified as a mental health nurse in 1987 and worked in Surrey for four years on a ward for older people with mental illness until she moved to Guernsey, where she is happily providing mental health care for the island's 60,000 population.

Engagement is key in mental health
Article Abstract:
The job of mental health nurses provides them the opportunity to engage with their patients and to get to know them personally, while also making a huge difference in the lives of their clients. The long-term relationship with clients and working with and helping people through difficult times is the most satisfying aspect of mental health nursing.

Improving the accuracy of intraocular pressure readings
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to discover whether a protocol for calibration can improve the accuracy of intraocular pressure measurements. It was found that using a protocol reduces calibration errors drastically.
