The perceived impact of duty hour restrictions on the residency environment: A survey of residency program directors
Article Abstract:
A study to characterize residency program director baseline perceptions regarding the effect of resident duty hour limitations on key components of the graduate medical education environment is presented. It is found that majority of obstetrics and gynecology residency program directors supported limitation of resident physician duty hours, and that this support did not seem to be influenced by either their personal or professional characteristics.
