The functional relevance of passenger leukocytes and microchimerism for heart allograft acceptance in the rat
Article Abstract:
Depletion of donor leukocytes in mice with a heart transplant shows that microchimerism may be a cause of immune tolerance rather than a consequence. Depletion of donor leukocytes using a monoclonal antibody against CD45 caused severe graft rejection but only when done on the day of the transplant.

(super)1H MRS detects polyunsaturated fatty acid accumulation during gene therapy of glioma: implications for the in vivo detection of apoptosis
Article Abstract:
(super)1H magnetic resonance spectroscopy is a non-invasive technique that can be used to detect apoptotic cells. During the early stages of apoptosis, polyunsaturated fatty acids accumulate in the cell, and MRS can detect this.
