The latent nuclear antigen of kaposi sarcoma-associated herpesvirus targets the retinoblastoma-E2F pathway and with the oncogene Hras transforms primary rat cells
Article Abstract:
Research indicates that an immunogenic latent nuclear antigen (LNA-1) of kaposi sarcoma-asociated herpesvirus (KSHV) is involved in maintaining KSHV episome and attaching it to chromatin during cell division. Data further show that LNA-1 mediates KSHV-induced oncogenesis via retinoblastoma protein-cell cycle transcription factor regulation pathway.

Overexpression of deltaFosB transcription factor(s) increases bone formation and inhibits adipogenesis
Article Abstract:
Results demonstrate that deltaFosB regulator of the activator protein-1 family of transcription factors, promotes bone mass and bone formation resulting in osteosclerosis. However, deltaFosB is shown to inhibit adipogenesis as shown in a transgenic mouse model.

Increased bone formation and osteosclerosis in mice overexpressing the transcription factor Fra-1
Article Abstract:
Results demonstrate that Fra-1 protein of the activator protein-1 family of transcription factors influence bone mass and bone formation by increasing the number of osteoblasts and their differentiation as shown in a transgenic mouse model.
