The role and responsibilities of the service coordinator in early intervention

The service coordinator functions as the single point of contact for the family and coordinates early intervention services across agency lines. The service coordinator is charged with helping families understand their rights and procedural safeguards related to early intervention so the family is able to actively play a role in making decisions throughout their child's time in early interventions.
