The transcriptional repressor Nab1 is a specific regulator of pathological cardiac hypertrophy
Article Abstract:
A transcriptome analysis of a genetic mouse model of heart failure was conducted for delineating molecular determinants of cardiomyocyte hypertrophy and failure. NGFI-A binding protein (NAB1) and its target transcription factor early growth response-1 (Egr1) are important endogenous regulators of pathological cardiac growth.

The genetic basis for skeletal diseases
Article Abstract:
Many of the critical transcription factors and signaling pathways specifying the normal development of bones are identified by the recent study of rare genetic diseases. The details about the bone disorders and classification of skeletal diseases are discussed.

Breast cancer progression with a Twist
Article Abstract:
The probability to understand the tumor progression, in terms of the redeployment of mechanisms used in embryotic development, is analyzed. By studying the bHLH transcription factor, it is possible to identify the progress of tumors.
